The Evangelical Lutheran Church Schools-Ghana (ELCS-G) was established as a limited guaranteed Company, to oversee the educational arm of the Lutheran church by providing distinctive Christ-centered inclusive and child-friendly (operating in the best interests of our children) basic education in a safe, supportive and relevant environment, whilst developing responsible global citizens for the future.
ELCS-Ghana has held unwavering to its reputation as a manager of a prestigious league of schools delivering first-class basic education in Ghana. Though professionally recognized in 1999, the Evangelical Lutheran church schools-Ghana has built a sturdy forty- years track record of establishing individual schools since 1974. Presently, six fully functional mainstream schools have been established in strategically placed locations within Accra, Kumasi and North-East to offer unrivaled Christian education and support to the community. Today the Lutheran schools can boast of over 2500 pupils, 220 teachers and 150 non- teaching staff nationwide in its 6 mainstreams schools.
All Lutheran Schools are managed by the Evangelical Lutheran Church Schools-Ghana (ELCS-G) an off spring of the Lutheran Church Ghana.
The remit of ELCS is to provide strategic direction to Lutheran Schools in order that they may achieve their objective of bringing quality basic education to the doorstep of every Ghanaian Child.
ELCS is head quartered in Awudome, North Kaneshi, Accra and has at its helm the Director of Schools Mr. Joseph Lanbon ably supported by a five-member senior management team.
